__Unit X&XI is the last Unit that will go on 3rd terms grade. If you still need to make up a test for 3rd term, please email me at jeremys@provo.edu and we can negotiate a time when I will open up the test for you to take.__

**End of Term:***All Extra Credit, Late Work, and Test Corrections for 3rd term is due to Mrs. Machado (my student teacher, not Mrs. Bardsley, the Substitute) by 3:00 pm on Friday the 17th of March*

__Please turn in everything for Unit XII&XIII using Canvas, you can find the most up to date list of what you need to turn in on the Unit Plan. If you must turn in a "hard copy" of your work, put it in one pile and turn it into the Substitute on the morning of the test.__

**Unit XII & XIII Turn in:****You will be allowed to pick your own review groups, groups can be as small as 2 but not larger than 5. If everyone is not in a group within 60 seconds, the Substitute will remake all the groups. Once you are in your groups, use the following guidelines:**

__AP Test Review Plan:__
Step 1: Having and using the right materials

-They should all have their Unit Outlines open or out

-one person should the unit test and quizzes on hand

-Reviewing the terms, definitions, and examples from your Outlines and our Unit Tests and knowing them will guarantee you a 3 or a 4. I really think you could get a 5 as well.

-one person should have the textbook open to the right Unit

-Going deep into the textbook for more of the minute details might take you from that 4 to a 5.

-one person in their group should have their review book open to the right chapter

-There are some terms in the review book that are not in your Textbook, knowing these terms can help you towards a 5, or just reduce your frustration when you take the test and see a word that we never talked about in class. Learn what we covered from the Textbook and then if you have extra time and desire, go through the unknown terms in the review book.

-Identify a Google Wizard who can effectively and efficiently look things up online. If this starts slowing the group down, don’t do it as a group, do it on your own at home.

Step 2: How well do I need to know everything?

-Knowing the terms and definitions only might get you a 3.

-Knowing and being able to recognize (think Multiple Choice) the term, definitions, and examples will get you a 3 or 4.

-Being able to recall and apply (think Free Response) all the terms, definitions, and examples will get you a 5.

Step 3: What a good study group looks and sounds like

-If everyone preps and skims their material the night before, it will help the group discussion immensely.

-Study/review the material in the same order and manner in which you first learned it. (so use your Unit Outlines to drive your discussion.)

-Have someone (the person who has the most thorough Unit Outlines) lead the review, go through each Unit term by term, discussing (avoid reading as a group as much as possible) the definitions, examples, and supporting research or case studies that go along with each term.

-Help each other come up with ways to remember the terms (Acronyms, mnemonic devices, easy to recall stories or examples.)

-If you come across two terms that seem really similar, make sure you can explain to one another how they are different.

-If you come across terms, that no one knows, don’t spend too much time looking it up as a group (see my comment about your Google expert), make a note to look it up at home on your own time and then move on as a group.

-Use your collective brains to discuss as much material as a group each day.

-Avoid going off on tangents or getting distracted.

-At the end of each unit, use the Unit Test or the questions in the Review book to check how well you understand that unit’s material.

-One Practice AP Test (You must take & correct both the MC portion & the two FR Questions.) (25 Points)

-4 Days worth of Review points (10 points per day)
-16th: Unit I&II

-20th: Unit III, IV, V

-22nd: Unit VI, VII, VIII

-24th: Unit IX, X, XI
